Matthew 4:18-22

Read Matthew 4:18-22 "While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John, his brother, in the boat with Zebedee, their father mending their nets, and he called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him."

Read Matthew 19:27-29 "Then Peter said in reply, 'See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?' Jesus said to them, '…And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.’"

Read Philippians 3:7-8 "But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ..."
